SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT

This is our first year to offer scholarship(s). We have limited the eligibility criteria and plan to expand each year.

We will be fundraising throughout the year for this project. Amounts awarded depend of amount of scholarship money we raise. If interested in contributing, please click here to Donate Any Amount.

Eligibility requirements:

**Student must be a Class of 2027 Smithville High School Athlete in Any Varsity Sport Except Cheer who has a separate booster club.

**Student must have completed their season for their respective sport and not quit the team.

** Student must be a graduating Senior of the SHS Class of 2027

**Student must submit a 700-word minimum essay to our email address by noon on April 22, 2027. Topic will be “How has playing their varsity sport or sports how will it impact your life as an adult, and what life lessons will be carried into adulthood.”

**Parent must be a paid member of the Smithville Athletic Booster Club. (A parent can still pay their dues to join for your student to be eligible for the scholarship.)

Essays will be numbered to remain anonymous and will be sent to an anonymous educator to be judged. Winners of the Scholarship will be announced during the end-of-year 2027 Spring banquet.
