Varsity Underclassmen for Banners for Football, Athletic Trainers, Managers, XC & Volleyball
PLEASE READ - Many things have changed for this year.
As you know, the varsity player banner project is a time-honored tradition and a source of community pride for Smithville, dating back to the last six years. Parents, friends, and fans hang up the banners. At the game, elementary kids take pictures with their favorite player’s banner. Families also post pictures of themselves standing next to their player’s banner, as being on a varsity team is a big deal. It also lets the community connect with who is on the teams.
Unfortunately, this year, the booster club is only able to pay for all varsity senior banners and a varsity game day promo for each player.
Banners for underclassmen - Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will need to be paid for by parents, family, friends, alumni, anonymous angel, fans, local businesses, churches, local organizations, and really anyone who wants to help.
We have 66 varsity players across 3 varsity teams who need player banners.
We need to get them paid for and printed in time for the Homecoming 9/19 game.
If you buy 5 or more players, we will gift you with a We SUPPORT OUR TIGERS or WE SUPPORT OUR LADY TIGERS yard sign.
Businesses, Organizations, & Churches that buy 6 or more player banners will get a thank-you banner hung at the stadium for a whole year!
Keep in mind that buying these banners is not a sponsorship, nor is this a fundraiser.
You may be wondering why all this has changed.
We had to do this as we needed to allocate more money towards PROVIDING TEAM MEALS for ALL OF THE 30 HIGH SCHOOL AND JUNIOR HIGH SPORTS TEAMS the booster club supports.
Many do not know that we are a booster club that takes care of both JUNIOR HIGH and HIGH SCHOOL athletes.
